Since 2010, GeoConnections has researched and developed a series of operational policy resources intended to help Canadian organizations in their interactions with spatial data infrastructures (SDIs) from an operational perspective. These resources encourage organizations to consider issues beyond the technological scope of an SDI, such as licensing, privacy, security, and other business, technology or legal topics. The content of GeoConnections’ recently published Volunteered Geographic Information Primer will be featured during this webinar. In addition to VGI, his research interests include analysis of the relationships between space and society with regard to the development process of the GeoWeb 2.0 and the design of geomatics collaborative solutions (participatory GIS, WikiGIS) to address participatory land management and GeoDesign practices. Il est professeur titulaire au Département des sciences géomatiques de l’Université Laval et directeur scientifique du réseau GEOIDE. Outre l’IGV, ses travaux de recherche portent sur l’analyse des relations entre l’espace et la société relativement au processus d’élaboration du GeoWeb 2.0 ainsi que sur la recherche de solutions géomatiques concertées (SIG participatif, WikiGIS) adaptées à la gestion participative des terres et aux méthodes de géoconception.
