Fenntartható fejlődés - ENSZ-Németország Nemzetközi Földmegfigyelési Konferencia Bonnban

Global solutions for the challenges of sustainable development in societies at risk

Venue: UN Campus Bonn, Germany
Dates: 26-28 May 2015

Mai postánkból. Az ENSZ SPIDER hírlevele:
"

Dear colleagues,
The "United Nations/Germany International Conference on Earth Observation – Global solutions for the challenges of sustainable development in societies at risk" is now open for applications. The conference is jointly organised by UNOOSA/UN-SPIDER, the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
Dates: 26-28 May 2015
Venue: UN Campus Bonn, Germany
Application deadline for funded participation: 13 March 2015
Please submit your application for participation online: www.un-spider.org/post2015
2015 will be a decisive year for the international community paving the way for sustainable development worldwide. Three important processes, led by the United Nations, are underway: the Post 2015 Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction (March 2015), the Sustainable Development Goals (September 2015), and the new Climate Change Agreement (December 2015).
Geoinformation and especially Earth observation provide indispensable data to support informed decision making at the local, national, regional and global level to reduce disaster risks, improve adaptation to climate change, prepare better for unavoidable losses and damages, and deliver on the promise of sustainable development.
The United Nations/Germany International Conference on Earth Observation – Global Solutions for the Challenges of Sustainable Development in Societies at Risk aims at bridging the gap between Earth observation experts and decision makers by identifying Earth observation solutions that match the challenges of governments in societies at risk.
The objectives of the conference are to address important challenges, demonstrate existing solutions, identify future potential, and facilitate collaboration.
More details are available in the information note, in the agenda and on the conference webpage.
Best regards,
The UN-SPIDER team"

GEOSS tudományos-technológiai műhelyek

3rd and 4th GEOSS Science and Technology Stakeholder Workshops
March 23-26, 2015 in Norfolk, VA, USA.

A GSDI-t, ezen belül tagszervezeteit, köztük a HUNAGI-t is érintő hír (a GEO Titkárság mai felhívása nyomán):

3. műhely, “Navigating Sustainability on a Changing Planet,”
Szervezői:  GEOSS Science and Technology Stakeholder Network (STSN), The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) és egy H2020 Projekt.
A műhely a világ állapotára és a trendekre vonatkozó információkra összpontosít, szem előtt tartva az ENSZ főtitkár  “Road to Dignity” szintetizáló jelentését. A társadalmi célok és a haladás mértékének megállapításához szükséges lényeges változók összekötése és a fenntartható fejlődést szolgáló kutatási innovációk lesznek a találkozó homlokterében.
Részletes információ: http://www.gstss.org/2015_Norfolk_3rd

4.Műhely, “Concepts, Technologies, Systems and Users of the Next GEOSS,”
