LIDAR konferencia november végén Salzburgban

Mai postánkból:

"LESS THAN 5 WEEKS TO GO - POINT CLOUD AND OPEN SOURCE DEBATE OPENS THE EUROPEAN LiDAR MAPPING FORUM 2011
A major step forwards or will it damage the industry; should we be supporting Open Source as a way forward for LIDAR technologies? It could open doors to many – or will it result in the closure of a number of industry players and be too high a price to pay? Or consider Point Cloud Services; are these a way to dramatically improve services for customers or is this just evolving technology?

SPARKS SET TO FLY DURING PLENARY SESSION PANEL DEBATE!
After much feedback from both sides of the argument, the organisers of the European LiDAR Mapping Forum (ELMF) have selected these two burning issues to be debated in a newly introduced plenary panel debate session, taking place on the opening day of the European LiDAR Mapping Forum, which runs from 29-30th November 2011 in Salzburg, Austria. Experts from all sectors of the LIDAR industry will put forward their opinions for debate with delegates.
JOIN THE DEBATE ONLINE
As a taster for the debate, the organisers have set up an online version via the LIDAR Forum Group on LinkedIN. To join the debate online, please visit: http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=1770697&trk=myg_ugrp_ovror to take part in the debate at ELMF on November 29th, please register online http://www.lidarmap.org/ELMF/conference/register.aspx
HOTLY ANTICIPATED CONFERENCE
The ELMF conference is a unique platform on which to launch the latest concepts from commercial or academic research, leading edge innovations in technologies, improved operating practices, reports on actual project experiences and to discuss new applications and markets being driven by the rapid improvements in LIDAR technology. http://www.lidarmap.org/ELMF/conference/
INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION
Supporting the acclaimed conference is an International exhibition, showcasing over 50 exhibitors from across the globe. Organisations involved in Airborne, Bathymetric LIDAR and/or Mobile Mapping Systems, including system and component manufacturers, operators and service companies will all be on display. http://www.lidarmap.org/ELMF/exhibition/exhibitor_list.aspx
TAKE A RIDE IN A MOBILE MAPPING VEHICLE
With 7 mobile mapping vehicles onsite, visitors will have the opportunity to test drive them and learn more about their full survey capabilities.

LEARN FROM THE EXPERTS DURING THE TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS
Another exciting element to ELMF is the technical workshop programme. Hosted by exhibiting companies, the aim is to provide novice operators and potential purchasers of equipment with an understanding of the basic principles and fundamental benefits associated with LIDAR, whilst providing the more seasoned experts with up-to-date information on current developments. http://www.lidarmap.org/ELMF/technicalworkshops/
HOTELS BOOKING UP FAST
With just under 5 weeks to go, hotels are booking up fast. Book your hotel room by 31st October 2011 to benefit from the favourable rates and availability. http://www.lidarmap.org/ELMF/accommodation/

EXPERIENCE COUNTS
The organisers, Intelligent Exhibitions, have a successful record of 10 years of the International LiDAR Mapping Forum [ILMF] the premier international conference for LIDAR and Mobile Mapping which is held annually in the USA. With growing acceptance in Europe of the benefits of LIDAR in low cost mapping, the European LIDAR community wanted a showcase for their fast growing number of applications, and so the ELMF was born. The next ILMF is taking place in Denver, CO, USA from January 23 – 25, 2012 www.lidarmap.org
For further information please contact info@lidarmap.net or go to www.lidarmap.org
We look forward to welcoming you Salzburg in 2011.
