19 June 2013 - EULIS Conference 20-21 June 2013 - Permanent Committee on Cadastre General Assembly Dublin, Ireland The European Land Information Service, EULIS, will host a half-day conference on June 19th in Dublin, just prior to the annual meeting of the Permanent Committee on Cadastre (PCC). The afternoon will begin with a presentation about the EULIS Service, followed by presentations from European Commission's e-Justice programme. Afterwards, Users of the EULIS Service will share their experience. They will talk about their expectations of EULIS Service and how they regard it as an added value for Europe. There will be sufficient time allotted for questions, comments and discussions. A reception will take place in the evening of June 19th to launch the opening of the PCC General Assembly. The three day event will be hosted by the Property Registration Authority of Ireland, under the Irish EU Presidency. It will be held at the headquarters of the Department of Justice and Equality in St Stephens Green Dublin. 3rd International Conference on Earth Observations and Societal Impacts (ICEO&SI)

Abstract deadline: extended to April 1, 2013
The International Conference on Earth Observations and Societal Impacts, hosted by Taiwan Group on Earth Observations with other academic institutions, provides a forum for international experts and scholars specialized in earth observations and social science to discuss and communicate on the topic of climate change, environmental disasters and ecological impacts in order to identify appropriate suggestions and corresponding strategies. In addition to publishing professional papers, ICEO&SI also is an effective platform of information exchange, where participants not only can share their own experiences, but also learn of improvements in remote sensing and geoinformatics and related innovative products and services.
In 2011, with the assistance of National Taiwan Ocean University, the 1st International Conference on Earth Observations and Societal Impacts (ICEO&SI) was initiated. Later, in 2012, in cooperation with National Taiwan University, the 2nd ICEO&SI was held. Continuing, in 2013, during the period from June 23rd ~ 25th, at the campus of National Cheng Kung University, the 3rd ICEO&SI will be convened.
ICEO&SI 2013 will cover 10 contemporary global issues; i.e., Disasters, Health, Energy, Climate Changes, Water Resources, Weather, Ecological System, Agricultural, Biodiversity and related Industries. The scope of the conference is based on the objectives of GEOSS and will focus on the better understanding of: self protection on either natural or human induced disasters, realization on the environmental elements endangering the public health, efficient management on energy resources, proper response on climate change and its impacts, adequate conservation on water resources, possible improvement on weather forecast, conservative management on ecosystem, sustainable development on agriculture, and effective protection on biodiversity.
