EUGEO, the Association of Geographical Societies in Europe, organises every two years a major international scientific congress, bringing together geographers from all over the world.
EUGEO 2017 will take place in Brussels in the prestigious Palace of the Academies, at short distance from the Grand Place.

Geography for Europe is the theme of this congress to be held in the European Capital. The theme covers the many aspects of the geography of Europe as well as the contribution of geography to the development of Europe, and the problems the continent has to face.

Program online
The 2017 EUGEO 2017 Congress will be very successfull : more than 280 proposals of papers have been accepted. The works will be organised in thematic sessions, devoted to the main European questions concerning the geographers. These sessions will give the opportunity to further discussions, under the auspices of the chairpersons of the sessions.
These thematic sessions will be enriched by plenary conferences, given by keynote speakers, geographers but aussi political scientists, who will deal with major European and World challenges. The provisional program of the sessions and of the plenary conferences is now on line.
The papers will be presented in English or in French. We ask to the participants who wish to present their paper in French to foresee in parallel a PowerPoint in English.
The best papers presented in a lot of topical sessions could be published, at the initiative of the chairs of the sessions, in scientific journals. Until now, we have received expressions of interest from the Revue de géographie historique, GeoProgress Journal, and Belgeo.

Registration - extended deadline for the early registration 2017/06/12
The Organizing Committee wanted to keep the registration fees as low as possible, to encourage a large attendance, in particular of students and young researchers.

Reduced hotels rates
