The programme consists of high-profile international speakers and a series of interactive workshops in which delegates will discuss and explore the topics further from a practical perspective. Take part in the GIM International Summit to benefit from vital knowledge that will support your organisation's future. To take advantage of this special partner offer, please register by sending an email to Myrthe van der Schuit, Marketing & Sales Assistant at GIM International.
A brief overview of the event:
In their keynotes, they will each suggest how geomatics can play a role in their respective areas of expertise. Delegates will then discuss and explore the topics further from a practical perspective in a series of interactive workshops.

Climate Change: Learn how data – in particular from Copernicus Satellites – can support climate science, adaptation, mitigation and disaster risk management.
Integration for Geo-IT: How to prepare our geoinformation infrastructure for the future?
Social Justice: Explore the role of geospatial information management in justice innovation.
Urban Planning: Explore the future role of geoinformation for urban planning and help to define gaps in the current state of technology.
Property Rights: Fit-for-purpose land administration: Experience how to draw boundaries on an orthophoto, or how to delineate a parcel using a mobile phone or GPS.

Water and Energy: Learn how to achieve integration in the framework of urban management, using modern information technology.
In between the keynotes and the workshops there will be technical sessions by sponsors Trimble and Riegl. Your attendance at the GIM International Summit will be the perfect occasion to discover Amsterdam. The organisation has arranged a Canal Tour through beautiful Amsterdam on Wednesday evening. On Thursday evening you are free to explore the city’s heritage and nightlife for yourself. And if you have time, why not extend your stay in Amsterdam to visit Anne Frank’s House, the Van Gogh Museum, the famous Rijksmuseum, the Royal Palace and the many other attractions that draw so many visitors to the city every year?
The venue for the event, which is an initiative of GIM International, the global trade magazine for geomatics, is Hotel Krasnapolsky in the very heart of Amsterdam. For more information, go to www.gimsummit.com.
