- Digital Earth Concepts, Technologies, Infrastructure Concepts, hardware, and software for transmitting, storing, and analyzing geographic information.
- Earth Observation & Monitoring Observation systems for collecting, monitoring, and managing data of global and regional environmental conditions, resources, and hazards.
- Managing The Blue Planet Multi-disciplinary methods to forecast and adapt to environmental change, mitigate natural hazards, and support sustainable development.
- Digital Earth & The Citizen Innovative technologies to encourage citizen involvement in global monitoring and environmental sustainability, and policies to minimize their intrusive effects.
- Digital Earth Education & Outreach. The Symposium will publicize the Digital Earth vision and capabilities to the public at-large, and particularly to youth.
